Why does it say that my listing has been temporarily removed by the Idealist staff?
Answer:
All volunteer opportunities marked as appropriate for Kids and/or Teens must be reviewed by the Idealist.org staff prior to being published on Idealist. Moreover, when such a listing is updated, it is automatically removed from our site by our system until a member of the Idealist staff reviews the changes. In this case, please allow 1-2 business days for your listing(s) to appear active.
All other types of listings will be temporarily removed from the site if the listing has been identified by Idealist staff or members as problematic (i.e. contains content that is inaccurate, duplicated, inappropriate, unclear, etc.). Before removing a listing, a member of the Idealist staff sends an email to the creator of the listing explaining the situation and requesting more information. (If you are the creator of a listing that was temporarily removed from the site and have not yet received such an email, contact us for more information. Be sure to tell us the name of your organization, and the name and type of the listing that was removed.) Once the listing has been updated and the problem resolved, you must notify a member of the Idealist staff so we know that the listing is ready to be released back on Idealist.
